There’s no better night in a pub than New Year’s Eve – great food, great music, fun, revelry and everyone enjoying themselves. The only problem is not everyone can get a baby sitter or a taxi for the busiest night of the year.
So this year, we’re doing the whole thing twice.
New Year’s Eve at the Geese and Fountain has always been a lively night of outstanding food and a great party atmosphere, and this year it will be better than ever – with live music provided by the utterly unique Lil Jim and Hazel Scott. It will be a night of musical extremes, as Lil Jim & Hazel Scott are our guides on a musical journey through the swamps and bayous of the deep south, taking you round midnight with a night of unstoppable Cajun and zydeco tunes that will have you up on your feet and dancing into the New Year. Accordion acrobatics, formidable guitar rhythms and sweet harmonies. This is one not to be missed!
Whether you’re joining us for dinner or just strolling along at 9pm for the live music, we promise you a night to remember and an unforgettable end to 2018. How far into 2019 the party goes will depend on three things – Jim’s accordion, the supply of beer and your dancing shoes!
But don’t worry if you can’t make it to the Geese and Fountain for New Year’s Eve itself. Whether it’s work, other commitments or just the difficulties of arranging babysitters and a taxi home, if you can’t manage the New Year’s Eve party, then come along on Sunday, December 30th for our New Year’s Eve’s Eve party! The same amazing food. The same fantastic music. All the fanfare and fun of New Year’s Eve, complete with a midnight count down, and dancing into the early hours, but a day early and with a little taken of the price to make it a more affordable night out!
